There are a number of quality restaurants in Ardmore and Youghal serving local products. Of particular interest is the Michelin starred Cliff House Hotel which is only 4 miles away.
There are four 18 hole golf courses within half an hour's drive and two championship courses 45 minutes away. The Old Head of Kinsale course, which is listed as being in the top 100 courses in the world, is an hour and a half away.
There are wonderful walks, both along the coast (the Cliff walk in Ardmore is exceptional) and in the Knockmealdown and Comeragh mountains.
Beach fishing is literally on the doorstep and deep sea fishing is easily organised.
Salmon fishing in the Blackwater is also readily available.
The estuary is renowned for its wildlife and a five minute walk along the beach from the house will prove rewarding. Read more about birdwatching.

The Crawford Municipal Art gallery in Cork is worth a visit. Cork also has an opera house.
There are a number of gardens of interest in the area which are open to visitors.
Irish Music and Dancing
There are several pubs nearby which hold regular jam sessions.
